National Dance Day was recently announced on the popular FOX television show, So You Think You Can Dance, and The Academy of Performing Arts in Alma is going to help the Central Michigan community celebrate.
On Thursday, July 29, a free hip hop class will be offered at The Academy of Performing Arts (319 N. State Street, Alma) at 6:30 pm for dancers, non-dancers, children and adults.
APA instructor, Kristen Bennett, will teach a Hip Hop dance that was choreographed by SYTYCD’s Napoleon & Tabitha for National Dance Day. At 7:30 p.m. everyone will walk 2 blocks to 314 E. Center to the new business location of Audio Foundry. Audio Foundry will supply audio in their parking lot. The community hip hop dance performance will kick off their open house and grand opening.
